Not sure which ones apply to you?

If you want to freedom camp anywhere on Department of Conservation land or most council sites, you need an active Self-Containment Certificate.

If you rent your RV out, you'll need active Gas and Electrical certificates as well — they're required for insurance and rental use.

We do all three from the same workshop, same day where possible — save yourself three separate trips.

Good to know

Common questions.

Your Self-Containment Certificate is valid for 4 years. Gas and Electrical certificates are annual — they need renewing every 12 months, which is also what your insurer and any rental use will expect.

We tell you exactly what didn't pass and how to fix it, then quote the work before we touch anything. Once it's sorted we re-check and issue the certificate. No surprise charges, no pressure to do extras you don't need.

Not always. If you're freedom camping you need the Self-Containment Certificate. If you rent your RV out — or your insurer asks — you'll also need Gas and Electrical. Tell us how you use your RV and we'll tell you exactly what applies.

Usually not. Most certificates are done same day while you wait where possible. If anything needs fixing first we'll let you know the timeframe when you book, so there are no surprises.
